AUDI UNVEILS A6 E-TRON CONCEPT: TEASES PRODUCTION VERSION.

Audi is forging ahead aggressively with the electrification of its vehicle line up. Now Audi has unveiled the A6 e-tron concept, a sleek sedan loaded with all of the brand's cutting-edge technology.

The concept will be going into production.

The A6 e-tron will be an all-new model for the Audi lineup and will join other e-tron vehicles including the Q4 e-tron SUV and the e-tron GT sports sedan.

Audi says the A6 e-tron should have a driving range of more than 700-kilometers on each charge. The most powerful versions will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than four seconds. The A6 e-tron is equipped with two electric motors. Each motor drives an axle, distributing power to all four wheels. DC fast-charging capability will be standard. Audi claims the fast-charging feature will take the batteries from five percent-empty to 80-percent full, in just 25 minutes.

The electrified A6 e-tron body is different from the gasoline-powered A6 sedan, most noticeably because the A6 e-tron hides a hatch-back in its rear roofline.

Look for the production version of the A6 e-tron to debut in 2022, with the first deliveries in early 2023.
